"Bob Cook is a strong choice to lead Texas Parks & Wildlife," said Brian Sybert, Conservation Director for the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club. "He's an excellent manager and he understands the need to protect our natural resources for future generations. We've worked well with him before and look forward to working with him as director."

Cook, a longtime veteran of the department, was recommended yesterday by a search committee for the department to succeed outgoing Director Andy Sansom.
