Background briefing on water issues facing the 79th Legislature

Water is likely to be one of the biggest issues tackled by the 79th Legislature--outside of school finance, of course. To find out more about what the Legislature might (or might not) do regarding water, join us for a background briefing hosted by three leading conservation organizations on Wednesday, January 19th at noon.

Experts from the National Wildlife Federation, Environmental Defense and the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club will discuss the potential for meaningful water policy reform, including:

  • The promise and pitfalls of water marketing
  • The current environmental flows proposal
  • What’s on tap for water conservation

The round-table briefing will be followed by an open question and answer session.

Lunch will be provided for those who RSVP.
