Texas Water for Wildlife

Water - often taken for granted, yet always in the forefront of Texans' minds as a critical resource sustaining our daily needs. Decisions related to how this limited resource is developed, used and protected for people and wildlife confront policy-makers and regulatory officials today. As part of the state's Regional Water Planning process, citizens have an opportunity to shape state water policy to protect water for human AND wildlife needs.
The NWF, the Texas Center for Policy Studies, the Texas office of Environmental Defense, and the Lone Star Chapter of Sierra Club are engaged in a campaign to:
The campaign's primary goal is to work with grassroots conservationists, sportsmen, citizens and decision-makers to promote environmentally and economically sound water resource management in Texas.

September 11. Xeriscape of Corpus Christi. Meeting will be held at 10 AM at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.
October 2. "Coastal Bend Teacher's Resource Extravaganza," sponsored by the Coastal Bend Informal Educators and the Texas State Aquarium, October 2, 2001, 5:00-7:30 pm. at the Texas State Aquarium. Elementary teachers from Regions 2 and 3 are invited.
October 8. Coastal Bend Bays Foundation Monthly Meeting. 5:30 PM, TAMU-CC, NRC 1003. Speaker to be announced.
